Today was another typical Saturday. But today was Theatre night. So yeaph,we went to the opening of The Golden Years.So had to wear as usual formal clothing.Damn sian,every weekend have to wear formal. It was this french school near newton.Reached there at 5 plus to meet the producer and director, Gwendolyn Tan,such a fabulous lady,really.Had waffles at waffles town down the road before the concert,super yummy.

So the play was all about these three good friends in the old folks home.Ah Hock,MuthuSami S/O Samisami smthng and Zul.It was basically about how typical the old folks life 's like aft their children dumped them in the home.So,Ah Hock's son who is a young business man that ran into kar-ching problem and he needed money.So Ah hock wanted to raise funds for him.Zul,a famous singer back in his younger days,plan that they shld set up a concert and sell tickets.So,Zul has this gay manager that is super funny that help them in th venue and all those stuff.They sold evry tix and they got the money,but unknowing to the people at the old folk's home,Zul is sick,but he still spent his energy on the concert and when the concert was over,he died doing what he loved the most,it was damn sad.

What i really love about this play is that it is acted out by young and raw talents frm singapore.The had this performance by veteran singers and dancer during the part when ah hock and the rest were suppose to have their concert,it was really awesome.Rommel Aviles who played as Brandon the guy who was Zul's manager is a really awesome guy.I really love their lyrics.There was really alot of originality in it and it really convey the msg that people in their advanced age aren't useless to the community.

Went to meet the cast after the play.Rommel Aviles is a really really really awesome guy so is Sirfan who played Zul. The whole cast except for the performers are young raw talents who really played their role at a awesomely awesome level.Robert Montero was there,he was part of the guest of honour for the opening.Went to talked to the producer/director Gwen,she is a really awesome lady,like no kidding.
